Taj2019Dear Colleague,

Welcome to your first day as a trainee in Emergency Medicine!

We hope you will have an excellent time as you embark on your training in the best specialty in the world. You will be working in a busy environment and while there may be challenging times ahead as a trainee, I very much hope you will feel supported and welcomed into the Emergency Medicine family.

The Royal College has an important role to play in helping to support you in the coming months and years and we will do what we can to provide you with the opportunities for a training experience that meets your expectations and provide the resources that will allow you to flourish and excel. Please do visit the various parts of the RCEM website to look at all the ways in which we as a College can help you, talk early and often with your trainers and enjoy your time.

Although, the Emergency Department can certainly be hectic, there has never been a better time to be a trainee.
